The Food Cupboard strives to provide users with healthy food and is intended to aid people in ensuring they and their families are fed and nourished. We do not provide all the food an individual or family needs, but strive to help with what we can. Food we offer comes through community donations, food bank networks, and our gleaning program. Users are requested to only get food from the Food Cupboard once per week.
The Kaslo Food Hub is part of the broader Food Security Project of North Kootenay Lake Community Services Society. In addition to the Food Hub, they also have a harvest share gleaning program, a community root cellar, a tool library and a food resource library of related topics from nutrition and cookbooks to gardening and food politics.
Other Information: Food Hub direct line is: 250-353-7120. Access to services outside these hours is also possible.
The Food Hub is located in the basement of the St. Andrew’s United Church and accessed by the alley entrance.
