Grandma’s Farm is an owner-built homestead, located next to the Purcell Wilderness Conservancy, above the north end of Kootenay Lake, in the small community of Argenta. Seasonal fresh, organic mixed vegetables, berries, eggs, cedar posts and rails, as well as seasoned fire wood are available on the farm, as pre-ordered, or farm gate sales, with delivery of large orders possible. Irrigation water comes from a spring fed creek, soil fertility is achieved by cover crop rotation and composted manure from our goats and chickens. Fence and building posts, rails and tipi poles as well as fire wood comes from our 16 acres of forest as we remove dead wood, space for fire interface, and replant disease resistant species. A 500 square foot 4 season greenhouse is presently under construction. If you would be interested in lodging here, we welcome guests to our B&B, cabins or campsite.
